Quotes and Estimates

Free Consultations

We offer free, no-obligation consultations and quotes. All quotes are estimates based on the information provided at the time of consultation and are subject to change based on site conditions, material availability, and project scope.

Quote Validity

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Pricing may change after this period due to material cost fluctuations or other factors.

Final Pricing

Final project costs may differ from initial estimates if unforeseen circumstances arise, including but not limited to:

• Underground utilities or obstacles
• Difficult soil conditions (rock, clay, etc.)
• Property line discrepancies
• Changes to project scope requested by customer
• Material cost increases

We will notify you of any significant cost changes before proceeding with the work.

Payment Terms

Payment Schedule

Payment is due upon project completion and customer approval. No deposit is required to schedule your installation. For larger commercial projects, payment terms may be specified in your written contract.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and other payment methods as specified in your contract.

Late Payments

Late payments may be subject to interest charges and collection fees as permitted by law. Continued service or warranty coverage may be suspended for accounts with past-due balances.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure successful project completion, customers are responsible for:

• Property Access: Providing clear and safe access to the work area
• Utility Location: Ensuring utilities are marked by calling 811 before installation (we will also call 811 as standard practice)
• Property Lines: Verifying property boundaries and obtaining necessary surveys
• HOA Approval: Obtaining any required homeowners association approvals
• Permits: Cooperating with permit applications if required (we typically handle permit applications)
• Pets: Securing pets during installation
• Obstructions: Removing or relocating items that may obstruct the installation area
• Access to Water and Power: Providing access if needed for installation equipment

Workmanship Warranty

Warranty Coverage

We stand behind our work with a comprehensive workmanship warranty. Warranty terms will be specified in your written contract and typically include:

• Warranty against defects in workmanship
• Warranty period specified in your contract
• Coverage for structural issues related to installation

Warranty Exclusions

Our workmanship warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by extreme weather events (tornado, flood, etc.)
• Damage from vehicle impact or vandalism
• Normal wear and tear or weathering of materials
• Damage caused by customer modifications or repairs by others
• Damage from landscape changes affecting drainage or fence support
• Material defects (covered separately by manufacturer warranties)
• Damage from failure to perform recommended maintenance

Manufacturer Warranties

Materials may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties. We will provide information about applicable manufacturer warranties at the time of installation.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

By Customer

Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments with reasonable notice. Cancellation terms for contracted work will be specified in your contract and may include:

• Cancellation fees for projects canceled after materials are ordered
• Rescheduling policies and fees

By Shepherd Fence

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule work due to:

• Severe weather conditions
• Equipment failures or supply delays
• Safety concerns
• Customer non-compliance with terms

Liability and Indemnification

Our Liability

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our business operations. Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Damage to underground utilities not properly marked
• Damage resulting from inaccurate property line information
• Weather-related delays or damage
• Loss of use or business interruption

Customer Indemnification

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shepherd Fence from claims arising from:

• Inaccurate property line information provided by customer
• Customer's failure to obtain necessary approvals or permits
• Customer's failure to disclose relevant property information

Property Damage

We take great care to protect your property during installation. However, some minor disturbance to landscaping may be unavoidable. We will:

• Make reasonable efforts to minimize property damage
• Repair any damage caused by our negligence
• Restore disturbed areas to reasonable condition
• Remove debris and leave the site clean

Customers should identify any sensitive landscaping, irrigation systems, or other features before work begins.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Shepherd Fence or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without written permission.
